Further Info

Opening Times & Deposit
Bears Hideaway are open 49 weeks of the year from 8am to 6pm. We close over the Christmas Period, Good Friday and the following Easter week and for one week in the summer. We are also closed for bank holidays.

For continuity of care we require a minimum of 15 hours attendance per week for all our children, regardless of age.
Fees are due in advance and payable by the 1st of the month.
We require a £250 deposit to secure a place in our setting. This is payable to us when a place becomes available for your child, and would be paid before your child starts, to hold the sessions offered to you. We then hold your deposit for the duration of your child's time at nursery, and the deposit will be refunded against the final invoice when your child leaves as long as notice period has been given otherwise this is kept to cover fees not paid.
If you decide to not take your place at Bears Hideaway your deposit is NOT refundable as the sessions will have been allocated to your child.

Early Education Funding
If your child is aged over 3 years then he/she will be entitled to Early Education Funding (EEF), regardless of how much you earn. This funding is awarded in the term after their third birthday. The funding can be accessed at Bears Hideaway in a variety of ways to ensure that you maximise your entitlement.

Every child is able to claim the free early EDUCATION funding – at Bears Hideaway this is stretched over the year as we are open 49 weeks as opposed to preschools who are open 38 weeks, like schools. There are 2 variations of funding, either the universal 15 hours – (11.5 hours for our setting funding as we are open all year) OR the extended funding 30 hours –( 23 hours for our setting as we are open all year).

All children can access the 15 hours however the 30 hour funding has a criteria (available for families where both parents are working, or the sole parent is working in a lone-parent family), and each parent earns the equivalent of 16 hours a week at the national minimum or living wage, and earns less than £100,000 a year).

We offer a variety of sessions but all children MUST attend a minimum of 15 hours a week.
Our sessions are set and Parents cannot choose varying hours within these set sessions (i.e. 9am-1230pm)
We offer a school day (8am-3:30pm) and a full day (8am-6pm).

The Government states that the funding is to cover the cost of delivering the free EDUCATION, and is NOT intended to fund the cost of consumables (such as drinks, meals, inhouse cook, cleaning materials etc) or additional services  that providers may choose to offer with in their individual setting (a nature garden, a  large sand den, cooking and all other materials that the EEF doesn't cover. ).
It states Providers (Bears Hideaway) are free to charge Parents for such discretionary items.

When taking up a space at Bears Hideaway Parents need to be aware that additional costs are in place - we are a day nursery offering care and education that covers meal times, which must be paid for by Parents, that the nursery provides.
Parents CANNOT bring in their own food for their child.

We are pleased to be able to offer funded places for two year olds who are eligible for the Two's Too Funding.   Two year old funding is applied as a stretched offer as above as we are a full time nursery.
